About Ricky

Ricky’s career in photography began when he photographed his friend’s wedding as a favor and he fell in love with the process. He loved the challenge, the interaction with the people, and feeling integral on a couple’s most special day. Ricky had gained basic knowledge of photography in high school but still had a ways to go. Understanding that it’s a tough business, Ricky did his due diligence and researched all that he could. Rather than just naïvely jumping in, Ricky started working as a photographer on a part time basis. The demands for his photography work continued to grow! After two years of working full time as a systems engineer with a local bay area company and part time as a photographer, Ricky felt it was a good time to make the leap. Although he has established a strong following for his company, W Photography, Ricky continues to develop his craft by practicing and attending workshops. He is also a member of PPA and WPPI to keep up on the latest trends in photography.
